The following reports were received from
the Flotillas'
Flotilla 41:(July report)
Flotilla 41 performed VSC's at Anderson Lake on 14 June
2009 from 0800 hrs. to 1400 hrs. Thirty VSC's were performed during the day.
Several request for boating safety pamphlets were distributed from the PA
trailer. Park Rangers request the Flotilla to return to perform VSC's for the
Fourth of July weekend.
Flotilla 43:(July report)

FSO-PE: We had a successful ABS class on Sat, June 6th. 8 students
showed up, including one Auxiliarist. Feedback from the students have been
positive. Class went smoothly, but a bit overtime. |

Lifesavers
participated in a training patrol with the Gold Side near YBI, June 11th.

FSO-MT: TCT/OPS refreshers took place after our June 9th meeting. An
Auxiliarist from Wash. State was also in attendance. AUXINFO training to follow
afterwards, for post-July meeting. Sexual Harassment Prevention scheduled for
Sept. |

FSO-CS: Having technical difficulties updating website; the only outdated info
is the meeting time/place. Otherwise, everything’s up-to-date.

Call to order, Pledge of Allegiance, Quorum established 19:37 May Minutes approved; Proceeded with staff reports. AN: South Bay ATONS 7 PATONS are finished for this year. IS: An issue has surfaced regarding the proper way to report your "99"
hrs on the 7029 form. I t
seems a member complained to SO-IS Hinmers. This will soon be clarified in a
forthcoming e-mail. OP: 2nd TCT & 1st OP's workshop is complete. 2 safety patrols, working
with station SF were
successful, another safety patrol is scheduled for the 16th of July.
Discussed requirements for
Marine Safety Ribbon. PA/DV: Handout furnished to membership, & will also be sent to all via
e-mail. VE: no report
20:00 Old Business: Previously tables motion to charge a nominal annual fee
for renting space at the Dock Town Flotilla House Passed. Phone Tree will be
updated e-mail explaining the process will be forthcoming. Work on the Tower
is progressing, updates forthcoming in e-mails. New Business: None

Flotilla 48: (
September report)
1.
Our August Meeting was held on Sept 9th. Presentation was
made on the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and reviewed the Chinese Marine Police
Cadet visit to the Academy and Barque Eagle, as well as the North Pacific Coast
Guard Forum MMEX exercise held at Port Angeles, WA.
2.
Nominating committee for 2010 Flotilla Elected Officers are Jimmin
Chang, Lynn Haydis and Jerry Siegfried. At this time, FC candidate is Brian
O’Mara, and VFC candidates are Dennis Wahler and Bill Shepard. Election will be
held in our November meeting, on Nov 11th.

Staff Reports were as follows:
Prevention [PE, VE, PV, MS, CGA]: (1) Our Fall
BS&S course is scheduled for 17SEP to 12NOV. There are only 3 sign ups so far.
More publicity will be done this weekend. (2) Two members attended PCA fair
ICS-210 course. (3) One member is working on his RBS Program Visitor
qualification. (4) One member is working on his Marine Safety Specialist
qualification. He has recently passed the Intro to Marine Safety and
Environmental Protection on-line course.
Response [AV, CM, OP, NS]: (1) We are in the
progress of making plans for Fleet Week patrol. (2) North Pacific Coast Guard
Forum MMEX exercise was held in Port Angeles, WA in August. Jimmin Chang served
as the Chinese interpreter, and another Auxiliarist in our District, J.R.
Stafford served as exercise controller.
Member Services [CS, FN, IS, MA, MT, PA, PB, PS, SR,
Diversity]: (1) Twelve of our fifteen members has paid their 2010 membership
dues. (2) Members are encouraged to submit all their hours, including
administrative hours. (3) One member is scheduled to take the AUXPAT exam this
week, and another for the AUXCOM exam next week. (4) Needs to resolve issue with
the AUXSCE course held by Division 1 earlier this year. One member attended the
class is not sure if she passed the exam or will have to re-take the exam. (5)
Contacted one prospective member inquiry received from National. But he is not
returning e-mails nor phone calls.
Flotilla 49:(August Report)

of minutes of previous meeting, done

Introduction of guests : Jose Pereira has received the letter
from DIRAUX with status of applicant, and issued ID number. Norlan Macias a
prospective member also attended, received an application packet, and had
his fingerprints taken.

Staff reports : J. Higuchi (AN) reported that PATON mission
for the year is completed. A. Chetham (CS) currently working in updates to
our web site. He mentioned he is moving to Colorado, but agreed to pay his
dues and stay as member through the rest of the year. J. McAlwee (FN) .
Letter for dues going out this month, $49 if paid by 8/31/09, or $60 if paid
after that date. (MA) New Cal state boating booklets available; (PE)
completed Sailing class; BS&S class being planned. J. Duran (PV) 2 MDVs ; (VE)
Marina Day event planned this Aturday August 8th at Anderson Lake
in Morgan Hill, with participation from flotillas 46,41, and 49.J. McAlwee
(IS) we are behind reporting hours. Send form 7029 hours to K. Himmers

E. Lam has completed 144 hours of operational support

New Business – PCA Fair and courses to be held on August
15,16 at CG Island. Fleet Week to be held in October. Nominees wanted for
next year FC, and VFC positions. Be sure to prepare for prerequisites. Rich
Goldmann considering FC position.

Awards – E. Lam (absent) has received the Sustained Service
Award, for 1563 cumulative hours, with SASA Ribbon and Small Bronze Star.
